The Self-Publishing Coach

I’m Alexandra Amor, an experienced independent author who guides and assists writers who want sovereignty over their books and their careers.

I offer one-on-one coaching over zoom that is patient, friendly and well-informed. I have published books in every format – including narrating, editing, producing, and publishing my own audiobooks – and can answer any question you have about the world of self-publishing. I can also recommend the resources, services, and tools that will make your journey smoother.

My coaching services work like this:

  • We hop onto zoom calls that are 60 minutes each.
  • I will answer any and all questions you have.
    • What formats should you publish in?
    • What vendors should you use? (i.e., should you use an aggregator or publish directly?)
    • What should the price of your books be?
    • Should you have an ISBN? If so, how do you get one?
    • How and when do you get paid?
    • How do your readers receive their book?
    • How do you get reviews?
    • How do you get your book into libraries?
    • If you want a box of books to sell at an event, how do you organize that?
    • Should you have an audiobook?
    • Etc.
  • When you and your manuscript are ready, you will share your screen and I will walk you step-by-step through setting up your author dashboards at the various vendors.
  • I will guide you and provide resources and information about what you need to have at the ready in order to publish.
  • I will advise you about which buttons to click and how to fill in the various fields.
  • Together we will upload your cover files and perhaps the interior files I’ve designed for you.
  • When everything is done properly you will press publish.

Typically, it takes between 3 and 5 of these calls to go from finalized book files to published book. You can schedule as many or as few coaching calls as you need.

The price for coaching is $110/hour.

Clients who purchase book formatting plus coaching receive 10% savings.
