About Alexandra Amor, author, narrator, publishing coach, book formatter
I’m Alexandra Amor. I’m an author, a creative, and a champion for those authors who want to maintain control over their writing and their careers. I coach and support writers to publish their books independently, skipping the angst, clearing the technological hurdles easily, and avoiding the sharks in the water.
For over 15 years, I’ve been writing, narrating, and publishing both fiction and non-fiction books, all with the themes of love, connection, and the search for understanding. I began my writing career with an Amazon best-selling, award-winning memoir about ten years I spent in a cult in the 1990s.
Because of that memoir, I have been featured on a documentary-style class at The Great Courses about cults called Warping Reality: Inside the Psychology of Cults, and also in Canada’s Chatelaine magazine and various other podcasts and articles.
I am a proud member of the Writers’ Union of Canada. I am a Partner Member at the Alliance of Independent Authors.
I am extremely grateful to live in a magical little fishing village on the wild west coast of British Columbia, Canada. When I’m not writing you’ll find me walking local trails and beaches, connecting with friends, or cozied up with a good book.
